Have you ever looked around and wondered if you were part of Job’s family tree? Have you ever been in such a deep season of suffering and wondered how on earth God could let you suffer like that, let alone, use this suffering for good? I have.
Man, I have had some pretty brutal seasons of suffering. And honestly, I had to choose to pray and keep my faith even when I didn’t feel like it. If that sounds like you and you just need some help praying, check out my free Structure of Prayer Guide to help you get started.
Why Does God Allow Suffering?
Suffering isn’t a fun word. Or a fun experience. But, I know that there is good in suffering.
In all of my suffering, I can honestly say that I have grown as a Christ follower, wife, mom and person.
My childhood. It wasn’t the greatest all the time, but in hindsight, I now can use those experiences to help others. My parents’ divorce, my family being poor growing up, watching my parents struggle, all were experiences that grew me to know and rely on the Lord.
My college years of poor choices, loneliness, and being so lost in the world and trying to figure everything out.
